  1. I love this! You're so lovely, Daminika! ^_^ And yes, I've definitely found myself wanting to live in the 1950s! :D

Have you ever read Love Me Tender by Janice Hanna? It's set in that era, and such a sweet, fun novel! :) http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/8122743-love-me-tender

    1. Thanks so much, Shantelle!!! I love the 1950s! Life was so much simpler. They had modern conveniences, but no cell phones and such. So much better if you ask me. ;P I've yet to find something that I don't like about the era. =D

No, I have never read that book... It sounds wonderful!! I should try it!! Thanks for telling me about it! =D

  2. This whole post is just lovely! :) I've wanted to live in different eras before... many different eras. ;P But I love 1950's style dresses! :D Looking at different polka-dot fabric at Hobby Lobby the other day, I suddenly wanted to make one. ;)

    1. Ooooh!!! The dresses are AMAZING!!! (I just die when watching Father Knows Best!!) I own one that I got for my sixteenth birthday, and I love it! I even wear it (with it's petticoat) to church sometimes... with the retro heels that Marita bought me. They got the dress from Lindy Bop (http://www.lindybopusa.com/).
But making one would be WAY cooler than buying one!! =D and a polka-dot one would be THE BEST! =D

    2. Yes! :D I think it would be fun to make one, but I'm not sure if I'm a good enough seamstress. ;P With a pattern I MIGHT be able to do it. There was a lot of material that would look SO cute for one of those dresses! :D

  4. That line "everything is moving fast" reminds me of the line "everything is changing fast" in "Grandpa (Tell Me About the Good Ole Days)". Haha! And that's what I heard in my head when I read that line. :)

    1. LOL!! =D Nope, that wasn't rude! ;P ;D
I've always loved the '50's! They dressed so wonderful, they had phones, but yet no cellphones or internet, most people had good values, their cars were ADORABLE, they could walk down the street with no fear, and they just lived the life I dream of. ;P
haha. But that's just me ;P

  8. Awesome post!
Always wanted to live in the 1950's, where girls dressed like girls, the guys treated them so nicely, the cars were SWEETsville, and everything was so much slower.
I LOVE that song, 'Old-Fashioned' by the Everly Brothers.
Oh, and Frank Sinatra is WAY better than Johnny Crawford. ;)
