By the Book Tag

I was tagged by Felicity @ Poems, Prayers, and Promises for the "By the Book Tag". :D
This probably won't be very interesting, but here it goes anyway:

What Book is on Your Nightstand Now?
Nothing cool, just Child Training Tips by Reb Bradley. Though I did graduate this year, my mom still has a list of books she wants me to read for "school", and this is one. I'm not a very fast reader, even when I want to read a book, so it's taking me a while. But, I'll get it done sometime and go on to another book on her list. :)

What was the Last Truly Great Book That You Read?
The Daybreakers by Louis L'Amour! =D It was the second time reading it, but it was by far the best book I've read lately. And it was the last book I've finished :D I don't really read Louis L'Amour's, and my family tries to get me to read other books by him all the time, but nothing can beat Tyrel's story.  So there. ;D I've tried to read others, but I just can't. I don't really know why, but if it's not about Tyrel Sackett, it just seems weird. Even Tyrel is in the book, I can't do it. Strange, I know ;P

If You Could Meet Any Writer - Dead or Alive - Who Would It Be? And What Would You Want To Know?
umm... am I strange? I really think I wouldn't care if I could meet a writer or not.

What Books Might We Be Surprised to Find On Your Shelves?
I don't know.... *runs to look in box of books* Um, you would be surprised to find that I don't really have very many! haha! :D  (but I want more!) You might be surprised to find American Sisters: A Titanic Journey Across the Sea by Laurie Lawlor.

Or even some of the Sister's in Time series (I'm surprised to find those because I never read them! ;P )

How Do You Organize Your Personal Library?
Well, like my sister, my books have been in a box for over nine months! But when I did have them on a shelf I had authors and series together, going by ages. I also tried to do the same size together. That can be hard though. :)

What Book Have You Always Meant to Read But Haven't Got Around Yet?
Nothing. That I know of... I like to read, but I'm very picky about what I read. I could say just books that my sisters tell me to read, but I've never really 'meant' to read those! ;) I think I'm finally getting out of the 'I don't read' stage I must've been in because I do read a lot more than I used to... and nobody has to force me. ;P
Oh, I guess I could say Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.

And I'd like to read Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin. Oh! And Emma!

And some of Mark Twain's books!... guess there are some books I would like to read but nevr got around to after all. ;P

Anything You Feel Embarrassed Never to Have Read?
A lot of books. :) But, I'm workin' on it ;P

Disappointing, Overrated, Just Not Good: What Book Did You Feel You Are Supposed to Like But Didn't?
Touching the Sky by Tracie Petersen. I enjoyed it at first, but the closer I got to the end the more I didn't like it. It just begged me that her sister married the 'bad guy'. When she feels like her life will never get better, the main character tells her that her husband might be hung for murder to "give her hope". Like they can't wait. I don't know, it just bugged me. But I like the 'good guy' ;)

And The Meeting Place by Janette Oke and T. Davis Bunn. My sister and cousin read this book and it's series together, so I was told to read it. Wasn't for me. I never actually finished it. :)

Do You Remember the Last Book You Put Down Without Finishing?
I don't remember for sure. The last book I put down without finishing?? ... Maybe it was The Prince and the Pauper by Mark Twain. Not because I didn't like it. It was a few years ago when I tried to read it and I just couldn't into books back then. When it got due back to the library, I just returned it without finishing it. Maybe someday I'll try again. ;)

What Kind Of Stories Are You Drawn To? Any You Stay Clear Of?
I'm drawn to Historical Romance mostly. I've liked stories with Knights, Cowboys, and Soldiers, but I don't really like any books that are modern. I did read one series that was modern, and I enjoyed it at the time, but when I was done I was like, "Lame," and haven't read any since. :)  And like Felicity and Marita, I stay away from anything that goes against God's Word.

If You Could Require The President to Read One Book, What Would It Be?
 A no brainer-- The Bible.

What Do You Plan to Read Next?
Books. Doing this post, I realized I haven't read many... so now I want to read more! I actually have The Captive Maiden by Melanie Dickerson on hold at the library... I don't know when it'll make its way to me. ;)

And now for the tagging. I think that all my cousins, aunts, and sisters who would do this have already been tagged. So, I'll just say: whoever wants to do this can! If you do it, I would like it if you left a link to your post in the comments. :D

That's so Me!!

Have you ever scrolled through the 'Relatable Posts' on Pinterest? I laugh so hard! ;D  I thought it would be fun to share some that I can relate to. :)

I've never really said it out loud, but I have thought it sometimes!

lol!! So true!!! :'D

Oh boy! This is so true!!! I thought I was the only one who did it.
(besides LaKaysha ;P)

Isn't this normal!? haha!! :D I can even tell which one of my cousins it is!

or when your sister also mentally planned her outfit with the same part!!!
:P :P

Then I usually start laughing at them because they repeat themselves even though
I already know what the say! haha!

I never really thought about it until seeing this, but it's so true!!

I love this one!!

when we had stairs ;P

Yep!! and for the most part, my favorite is a Coca-Cola cup ;P

haha!! My sisters can relate to this even more than I can :P

I've actually almost screamed one time because I seen my own reflection!! :D

Can you relate to any of these? :D

P.S. I added some more outfits to the 'Fashion Inspirations' page. ;)

A Mini Fair

I didn't get any pictures, so the above pictures are from my sister's phone... I'm actually in them both if you look closely ;)

My hometown has a mini fair type thing every summer. Because I just recently moved back to this "town", I hadn't been to it in years! And now we live, literally, right by it! So, the very first day that it started, I started begging my sisters and friends to go with me. Things happened to make so we couldn't go. (things like: my friends car breaking down, my sisters not wanting to go with me, starting to rain when my Dad was gonna go with me...) But, we finally went the last day. :)

Years ago, when I went to this fair, I remember telling my mom that I wanted to go on the Ferris wheel, but she said I was too young. Ever since then, I've had this dream to go on one. So, I did. :D And it was amazing! We walked around the mini fair for a while, and I bought a watermelon snow cone. (it had also been years since I had one of those) YUM! :D

Then we walked home. But I hadn't had enough of the Ferris wheel. So one hour before the park closed, my cousin, little sister, and I walked back. I think that ride was a lot more fun because I knew what it felt like. :) I probably would've went on the Yo-Yo, if I hadn't brought just enough money for the Ferris wheel. :)

I just had to share my joy with y'all. :P

Independence Day!

This year my family went to the Rodeo for the Fourth of July! It had been years since I had been! And it was simply amazing!! :D I didn't get very many pictures of it, sadly. ;) But I was just 'living in the moment'. The rodeo we went to was a small one so some people think it is 'lame', but I loved it! It is true that not one of the cowboys could stay on the bull long enough to "ride" it... :)

Our Tickets :)

One Cowboy hit his hand on the rail and fell off right away! So they gave him a "re-ride" and that time the bull slammed him into the rail, only this time he hurt his arm! I felt so bad for him! He sat on the fence and held his arm, with his head down for awhile. Then he jumped off the rail, and walked off as if it never happened! ;)

The little kids riding the sheep was so-o cute!! :D One little boy was only three and he held on to that thing as if his life depended on it! ;) When he finally fell off, he got right back up and started strutting back. About halfway back he turned, raised his arms, and started waving to the crowd! It was adorable!!! :D Of course the crowd cheered for him ;)

I snapped this picture before the show started :)

When I was little I wanted to be a "Flag Girl" at a rodeo... I still think it would be fun ;)

This picture was taken on my sister's iPhone... yea, it takes better pictures than my camera :P

Roping the cow :D

The prayer and speech before the rodeo started made me want to cry! I don't remember what the announcer said, but it was amazing! ;P Made me so proud to American! I love how patriotic rodeos are! And this one talked about God (prayed) and everything!! :D This is the same  rodeo that we would go to when I was little. It was amazing  ;P

So that was the highlight of my Fourth of July. ;)

After the rodeo we went to my aunt and uncle's for a "hotdog roast" and fireworks! That was fun! :D

Me and my Tootsie-Roll on the rope swing :)

A really good cake Marita made :)

Felicity, helping Evelyn make her hotdog

Evelyn made me s'more! She was so cute! When I thanked her she said, "Felicity helped. She s'mored and little, and I s'mored a little" :D

We also made crescent rolls over the fire. The first one I made was perfect!

My boots ;)

Caleb, the mini-cowboy ;)

waiting for fireworks. :)
Me, Marissa, LaKaysha, and Emily

It was, all in all, a very wonderful Fourth of July!

Summer Fun

Just some random pictures from Sunday. :)

I hope you all had a wonderful Independence Day! :D I did! I'll probably be posting about it some time this week :)
