Just a Post - Nothing Special

Well, I'm feeling lazy tonight, but I really want to do a post! So, none of my pictures will be edited or anything, sorry. :)

My sisters and I have been housekeeping while our parents are out of town... but at the moment that I am writing this, they are on a plane heading our way! :D Maybe I'm a strange sixteen year old, but I like my family. The nine days without my parents and two younger siblings were plenty, thank you. They can come home now. I'm looking forward to it! ;)

My cousin, Kimberly came to visit last weekend. :) She stayed here with us, while her family stayed at an aunt and uncle's house. That was fun.
She bought us the whole store when we wanted 'some' snacks! :D She's awesome ;P

My parents wanted our lawn mowed while they were gone, but we didn't have gas. So my cousin, Dustin, came and brought us some and jump stared our lawn mower (the battery is dead)... if you think he was sweet for doing that, what till you hear what else he did!
So, after he is finished, I hop on the mower and promptly drive over a stick, nocking the belt off! Oops! And Dustin was already gone! We tried and tried to get the belt back on, but we're just weak girls. :P Dustin's mom couldn't spare him again, so the lawn stayed how it was... but then sweet Dustin came and mowed it for us!! :D That lawn had been driving me crazy! So, yeah, a special thanks to Dustin for doing that for us! <3 (if y'all are wondering how his mom spared him - his sister came with along with all the little kids. While they were here, their mom took a nap)

Last night, we went and visited my two aunts, Marissa and Marita. :) We watched Belle and I made myself an Italian Soda. :) That was fun.

Marita works in a flower shop and her boss gave her some flower necklaces that were too old to sell. Since they are for graduates and I graduated this year - Marita gave them to me! Wasn't that nice of her? :P

Well, hope you have a wonderful night!

P.S. You probably noticed that I changed my blog again :P Patriotic for the Fourth of July! :D

Currently in June

Seeing Natasha's "Currently" post made me want to do one! (Sorry, Natasha, for being a copycat ;P)

*Current Happenings*

I got a kitten!

His name is Huckleberry Finn... but of course we call him Huck ;) And he's my very own! :D He's such a cuddle bug :P

For Fathers Day, we had a family gathering at a park that's just down the road from my house. :) So much fun to see the little kids running around on the playground. And I even ran around with them. :P And the boys/ guys played 500 in the field (a game with a ball and bat, one person hits the ball and people across the field try to catch it, you get points somehow and the first person to yell "500!" wins) We also walked to the creek... it was just all in all a fun day :D

Today, on the first day of summer, my parents (along with my two younger siblings) left for a road trip! :) They are visiting family in Texas, and also driving a pickup to its owner... so they'll be flying back. They will see the Alamo! :) Us "older kids" will be housekeeping for a while :P

*Currently Eating*
(Just some "amazing" things I've eaten this month)

Pizza!! :P

One day this month, my family went to a very good pizza place. :D I've gone to it my whole life and so I'm attached to it. :P

Coffee!! <3

My dad had me drive through a new coffee shop in our once-was hometown :P So good! The best I've ever had, and it's easy to drive through... that's one of the first things I want to do when I get my license... once I get the 18 hours I still need *sigh* I hope I can do it before summer is over. :P At least before my 17th birthday in October. ;)

Cinnamon Rolls

Pretzels

Homemade pretzels! So good! :D :P

*Currently Craving* ;P

Ice cream and coffee... when am I not carving those? :P ;)

*Currently Reading*

Child Training Tips by Reb Bradley... By request of my mom :)

*Currently Watching*

We just finished the last season of Hogan's Heroes :) Such a good show

We watched The Fighting Prince of Donegal this month. It's a good, old, Disney movie! :) I liked it. Sure kept me on the edge of my seat, but I'm probably just dramatic. :P

Haven't watched it yet, but we plan to watch Belle sometime. :)

*Currently Listening to*

Treasure by Johnny Crawford (when I wrote this)

Wink by Neal McCoy (when I posted this)

*Currently Looking Forward to*
A weekend trip to visit family only four hours away. :) We'll get to see the new little girl!! :D

My graduation photo shoot. :D

I graduated this year, my sister is going to take my pictures! My mom wants them done by an old building not far away. (15 minutes... at the most) Then I get to design my announcement and look forward to my party! ...whenever that will be ;P

Have a wonderful first week of summer! <3

A Post, Just for my Dad

Father's Day snuck up on me this year - I never had time to get my dad a gift! So this post is for him. <3

"He isn't much in the eyes of the world, he'll never make history -
No, he isn't much in the eyes of the world, but he is the world to me
My Dad..."

Me with my parents, the day I was confirmed :)

"Daddy's hands were soft and kind when I was cryin'
Daddy's hands were hard as steel when I'd done wrong
Daddy's hands weren't always gentle
But I've come to understand
There was always love in Daddy's hands..."

The first -and probably only - selfie ever taken with my dad.

I love you, Daddy! Happy Father's Day! ~"Peanut" <3

Spring Tea Party

My youngest sister had a 'spring' tea party last week. :) She and my mom had planned to have it at the beginning of spring, but things happened. You know how life can be. :P And it's a good thing they got it done when they did - it's raining cats and dogs out there, complete with thunder and lightning! You'd never know it was bright and sunny on Sunday!

Anyway, my mom asked me to take some pictures so I thought I could share them. The lighting under a tree isn't the best, but thanks to Picmonkey I think I got them to look okay. :D

There were six girls total at the party, but I thought it would be a little much to share all six. :P

I guess I can't share all the pictures I took, so I'll stop there. :P
Hope you have a wonderful day! :D

*It's now sunny outside! Proof that the weather here changes it's mind a lot ;)*

Dancing in the Rain

It rained at lot this past week. No, I'm not complaining - I love rain! And, yes, I do dance in it. :P When I can. ;)

I was fighting a cold, and when I'm sick, I'd like it to be cold outside. I'm not even sure why, but it seems to make sense. Who wants to be sick in the summer? When it's cold and wet outside, you feel like you can lay around the house and not feel any guilt. (When it's hot, I feel like I should be outside, enjoying it)

One day I went outside and took some pictures. I even used an umbrella! Those are unheard of in my house. We own them, but who uses them!? I had to protect the camera...  :P

The pictures didn't turn out very well, but I thought I'd post them anyway - just because. :)

And, today, the sun is shining!

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday. :)
